    Natural light is key, but if your space doesn’t have enough windows indirect lighting (lighting with a hidden source where the light spreads through the room via reflections) is the next best option. Keep in mind that warmer toned lighting is ideal in locations where employees are encouraged to relax and have fun. Ie. game rooms. Cooler toned lighting is ideal in locations where employees are expected to be productive and awake.

2. Paint
Research has proven that colors have a huge impact on our emotions. Some key colors to keep in mind:
Green: inspires creativity
Blue: Inspires productivity
Red: Great for detail orientation
Yellow: Inspires happiness and teamwork.

Biophilic may not just be a positive healthcare design trend, it’s also proven to be an effective way to improve office space and productivity. Plants help to clean the air, reduce stress and anxiety, and can even aid in reducing noise.

4. Promote Movement
It’s 2021, we all know the dangers of sitting for 8+ hours a day. Promote movement through standing desks, lunch time running clubs, and walking meetings. Fresh air and movement encourages focus and clears the mind.
