Virtual Activities & Vacations for You and Your Family

As states and communities continue their re-opening process and we all adjust to the new normal, we wanted to share an updated list of fun and unique activities and vacations (did you ever think you’d be vacationing digitally?) to do with your family, friends, social groups, and even schools.

Vacations

Sydney, Australia - Take a trip to the “Land Down Under” with this live cam. Visit the popular Sydney Harbor and Opera House, and enjoy the day (or night) looking out at the city skyline.

The Maldives - Dreaming of a relaxing beach vacation? Enjoy the beautiful, clear waters, cloudless sky, and white sands that this South Asian island has to offer. Our Marketing Manager is bookmarking this one as the colder months approach.

Vancouver Island, Canada - We’ve booked a spot for you at the Crystal Cove Beach Resort. Enjoy a peaceful stay at your cabin off the west coast of Canada.

Machu Picchu - Spend a day at the ruins of this ancient citadel. Keep an eye out for llamas, they love the grassy hills and mountains. The 360-degree camera offers you a birds-eye view of the site.

Great Wall of China - Take a walk on one of the most impressive archaeological structures in history. Are you up for the 13,170.7 mi hike?

Field Trips / Activities

British Museum, England - Catch a glimpse of some of mankind’s greatest mysteries; The Rosetta Stone, Easter Island Statues, and many more on this virtual tour.

Planetarium - Learn about stars and the solar system with Stellarium Web. Kids can explore over 50,000 stars, see all the constellations around the world and so much more. They also have a smartphone app.

Mars - Have you dreamed of going to the red planet? Now you can! NASA’s Curiosity rover has captured footage of the planet.

Virtual Field Trips - Our friend Sky from a local Girl Scout Troop wanted to share this site with you all. Find numerous field trips on this list that are sure to be a lot of fun for the entire family. Teachers can even utilize this during virtual (or in-person) learning this coming school year. Thank you Carly Hallman for pulling such an extensive list together, and thank you Sky for sharing it with all of us!
